MUSICAL FARM HOLIDAYS Is a services package expressly created for those who want to combine a holiday and a complete break from the daily routine to the recording of a high-qualified record. We have all the ingredients: Soverato which is a well-known tourist attraction, quite in the middle of Squillace Gulf. Its temperature rarely goes below 10° even in winter; from Soverato you can reach wonderful places in an hour's drive. Just have a look at the itinerary and you will understand. The studio is equipped with the best technologies and experienced staff; it is set in the countryside, but it takes just two minutes to reach Soverato. A COMPLETE PACKAGE

The journey to Soverato is not included, just to give as much freedom of choice as possible, and greater cheapness. Anyway if you don't have a car, when you arrive in Soverato, we can offer you a car an d chauffeur who can take you from the studio to the lodging or to shopping, etc. you can use car and chauffeur (paying 1 Euro for 15 km) to see the numerous tourist attractions of the area. You can use the studio 24 hours no-stop, but recording with a pro-tools System is allowed only for 5 hours, in order to have a high quality product. You can use the remaining hours as a testing room. You can record your tests, just to listen to them again.
This service includes:
-The structure 24 hours no-stop, 5 for recording or by pro-tools configuration 24 mix (see technical file)
-A car with a chauffeur that you can use for short journeys in Soverato. It is free.
-Agreements with local hotels as presented below.

The price, not related to the number of people, is 220 Euro per day + taxes ( if the group is made up by 5 people the cost is 44 Euro per person per day + taxes).
The terms of payment guarantee you, in particular:
10% at the drawing up of the contract, before booking
30% after seeing studio and lodging.
If you don't like them (or if they are different from the description) you can give up. In this caseyou will lose only the 10% as an indemnification.

The settlement is cash on the delivery of the master or before leaving.

The cost for lodging is extra.

LODGINGS:

4 stars villages and 3 stars hotels have various prices according to the season of the year, if you
want any extra information fill up the form- usually they are expensive.
The fiat is the cheapest lodging, the funniest and the most independent for a group of friends. They
are big flats in an apartment building, with TV, air-condition, a clean kitchen with utensils a
bathroom.
The price, July and August excluded, is 500€ per week for each flat.(The cost for a week for a
group of 5 persons is 100€ for each person)
If you want the fiat you have to draw up an agreement and pay 200€ as a deposit. You will have it
back before leaving. You can see the photos of the fiat and the planimetry.

TOURISTC ITINERARY:

It is very diffìcult to create a tourist itinerary for those who come in Calabria on holiday and for recording, because we have wonderful places and time is not enough. It is for this reason that we have created itineraries maximum 1 hour's drive from Soverato, thus we have avoided beautiful places but further from Soverato. So we offer 3 fundamental itineraries: the Sila, Isola Capo Rizzuto and Locri and Gerace. We can offer you particular itineraries if we know what you like in advance.

la Sila: [Parco Nazionale of Calabria] [50 minutes' drive]

Made up by two area, Sila Grande and Sila Piccola, in the park weather and biological conditions are among the lowest in the Appennino, they go below zero in winter. The Sila Grande has big pine woods at 1400-1700m. At a lower level you can find beech-woods and chestnut woods. In the Sila Piccola we have beech woods and silver firs. Both the areas are rich in water and in the past they were highly exploited for timber. Here you can find the highest number of wolfs of Southern Italy. Due to the fact that they are protected, they have increased in number and today they are present even in external areas. Here you can fin roe deer and follow deer (which was introduced in Italy centuries ago). They represent the basis for wolf feeding. In the Parco Nazionale you can find the small Riserva Biologica of the Fallistro, born in 1987 to protect the woods of Sila, quite unchanged through the centuries and to produce seeds of secular plants as the "lancio" pine.

Riserva Marina Capo Rizzuto: [the castle and the riserve] [50 minutes' drive]

Capo Rizzuto a wonderful island connected to the coast in low tide and enriched by an old castle. The island is in on the other side of the bay, 1 km from 106 road. It seems an oasis because the surrounding landscape is like a desert. The Medieval village with its ruins of Ricca Castle is very interesting. The castle, recently restructured, is on the island next to the coast. You can see the ruins of the fortress from the land. The beauty of these places, the variety of their nature and the particular shape of the coast make this area very interesting to scientists; in 1982 this area thanks to a special law, was included among the 21 planned protected areas in Italy. In 1991 another law, which established its characteristics and its criterias, gave the birth to the Riserva Marina of Capo Rizzuto. The Riserva covers an area of 14 ectars and it goes from Capo Colonna to the Squillace Gulf. Ali the strip of coast included in the reserve is extremely interesting from a naturalistic and environmental point of view. It is the only rocky coast of the Ionian Sea, which is for hundreds of km completely sandy. The coast is extremely various in landscapes and it has an unaltered " macchia mediterranea" which is greatly extended between Capo Rizzuto and Le Castella; it is protected in the interland by a wide and thick pine wood.

Stilo and Gerace: [1 hour and 15 minutes' drive]

Edwad Lear in his "diary of a journey on foot" describes Calabria with this words: "there was enough light to see the general aspect which seemed to be very picturesque; it was set under perpendicular precipices and built on a balcony amphitheatre shaped, the rocks rose everywhere with the picturesque churches and monasteries,.. .the roads are clean and new as nowhere else in Calabria and there was an air which gave a sensation of order and cleanness as nowhere else in Italy. Ali this surprised us because Stilo is so far from the Capital". Gerace is set on Eastern hills of Aspromonte at about 480m above sea level in a panoramic position particularly beautiful as from there you can see the valley of the Terme of Antonimina on one side and the Ionian Sea on the other. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Calabria, it has a beautiful historical centre where its houses still present old architectural styles: Gothic, Byzantine, Norman Romanic and there are works of art which demonstrate the historical and cultural importance.
